The Aldori Swordlords of Brevoy, through their emissary Master Captain Kaskavili, gave you your initial charter to explore the Stolen Lands, and have clandestinely supported you throughout your journey.
The Aldori swordlords of Brevoy are among the deadliest and most feared fighters of the Inner Sea. They have spent long years mastering the Aldori dueling sword, against both other dueling swords and all manner of other weaponry. Their speed and reflexes weave a net of impenetrable steel around them, from which they strike and harry their unfortunate opponents. This variant focuses on avoiding damage and disarming foes; swordlords prefer wearing light or no armor, trusting their skill with their blades for protection.
While the Issians toiled in the northern reaches of the harsh landscape that would one day become Brevoy, the much more forgiving southern plains were colonized by Taldan explorers, who named this realm Rostland. In the early days of the colony, bandits struck from hidden camps in the River Kingdoms, nearly destroying the budding colony before it had a chance to get started. The bandit leader challenged the Taldan baron to a wager: half the baron’s fortune against the bandit’s head. Unable to pass up the challenge, the baron took the wager and was defeated. He disappeared for several years, only to return several years later a changed man, and a master swordsman. Calling himself Sirian Aldori, he challenged the bandit lord to a rematch, and defeated jim in seconds. Reestablishing his rule, Baron Aldori issued an open challenge to anyone who could beat him in a duel of swords. Aldori defeated them all, forever cementing his reputation as the greatest swordsman in the world. Through the generations that followed, his pupils became known as the Aldori swordlords, a force feared throughout the continent.
